My name is Steve Wallace, I served as an Army helicopter mechanic, (qualified on 2) for almost 13 years before an injury forced me to leave. I have been fighting with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs for almost 20 years now.

There are thousands of homeless Veterans and in my opinion there should not be one. How many more of our heros have been lost by committing suicide after they gave up on a system that gave up on them? How many of their families never got a dime in compensation?

How many of our soldiers came back from Viet Nam with injuries and never compensated? What about the first Gulf War, how many came back with Gulf War syndrome and had to fight to be compensated? I was flipping thru channels one day and saw several family members that were going thru some of the same problems because they missed a deadline to file.

I can answer these questions in two words: too many!!!

It is time to make our goverment accountable. We, the Veterans, whether injured in war or peacetime deserve more, we did our part and now it is time for the government to do theirs.

Changes need to be made and one person alone can't do much, it will take a united front to get past the red tape and obsticles thrown in our path. Most of what V.A. does is done to make you give up on your claim and it works way to often.

I am the first to admit that my plans for this are ambitious but not impossible, what I have in mind will take some time, a lot of money and cooperation to fully implement. I have just bought and am setting up 7 websites for this ebook . Here is what I have in mind:

    1) I want to bring what happens to Veterans and the families of our servicemen and women injured and or killed in service to the American public and start moving towards making changes in how things are done.

    2) I am working on getting a not for profit foundation set up. The idea is: I plan to get government grants to fund things in the early stages. Over time I want to secure the services of enough ex-JAG (Judge Advocate General) officers, military lawyers to have at least one close enough to each states Regional Office, to assist the Veterans or families to go over claims, appeals etc. and go to hearings with them.

    3) I would like to have another small team of ex-JAG Officers that will work directly with the House and Senate Committees on Veterans’ Affairs. Their mission will be to work on getting changes made in how the Dept. of Veterans Affairs handles claims, appeals and how the D.V.A. ratings are done among other problem areas that can be addressed.

    4) To set up a fund to help Veterans and families with expenses while waiting for a decision. These funds would not have to be paid back but once you have received your compensation, donations will be accepted and appreciated. I can’t possibly give specific amounts or anything at this point.

I hope you will join me in this pursuit and I encourage you to make any donation to help me continue the fight for the rights of those whom have gave their all - their life, so we may enjoy the freedom we know today.
